happiness=health?

You know that frowning can causing wrinkles and fine lines?
I’ve also heard that it takes more muscles to frown that it does to smile so smile more!
Why? You might ask? Well, generally speaking, people that are unhappy and stressed tend to be less healthy than those who are happier.

Some examples…
When you’re stressed you might grind your teeth. This causes pains in the muscles in the jaw, which can lead to a hefty bill at the dentist for a mouth guard..

When you’re stressed, that effects your cortisol levels and can even make you gain weight

Many people that worry and stress get ulcers…

Many (and i’m not saying all people) who are sad, stressed, anxious, etc., make poor choices with their diets.

Lunch Breaks

Most people go out to lunch on their lunch breaks.
Why not try something different and go to a local gym for your lunch hour?
I started doing this recently and I have to say it’s great.
You’ll feel better and have more energy to jump start the rest of your day.
You’re better off packing a healthy lunch instead of eating out anyway.

Apple releases new iPad

Apple does it again! They released their new computer tablet called the iPad. The iPad looks like a giant iPhone/iPod Touch. It appears to have a lot of those same capabilities plus much more. Comes w/ Safari, Mail, iphoto, video, youtube, ipod, iTunes, maps JUST to name a FEW.

I’m most excited about the iBook app. Where you can download the app for free and then purchase books to read on your new iPad.

The WiFi version comes out in March and the 3G version comes out in April.

I know I totally want one.

Robert Pattinson to star in next Spiderman movie?

Not sure if it’s true or not but I was told that Rob Pattinson might be our next friendly neighborhood spiderman…
It might just be a rumor going around though.
I’d definitely be interesting in seeing it! I’m a fan of the past spiderman movies and I’m a fan of Rob Pattinson soo….

Finding Opportunities

I know we’re all busy but we can all make time in our day to burn extra calories.
The first step is assessing the situation to figure out what can be done.

A few examples:
You live up the block from 7-eleven. Walk or jog there instead of driving your car.

If you have an office job and make a lot of photo copies, don’t just stand there and wait for the copies – do some squats or lunges.

Do you squeegee your shower? Don’t just stand there and do it – do some leg squats and burn more calories.

Are you a TV junkie? Don’t just sit there and watch the Biggest Loser- try some sit-ups or jumping jacks during the commercial breaks.
