Ojon® oil

When it comes to killing your hair by over processing it, I’m the Queen. I’ve taken my dark brown, corkscrew curls, and transformed them to golden brown and blond straight tresses.

I’ve battled my genes in a quest to get looks fitting of any modern magazine. Fine and curly, meets hot and ceramic, my flat iron wins every time.

I finally after 4 yrs of coloring, I decided to go back to brown, and give my hair such much needed R&R. While coloring it darker helped restore some shine, I needed more.

I came across Ojon® oil at a local Ulta, and decided to give it a try.

While the price made me balk ($20 for the smallest jar, $50 for something barely double the size) I was desperate for something to help restore moisture to my badly parched locks.

Ojon® oil is highly-concentrated hair and scalp treatment, Ojon® claims to hydrates dry, damaged hair.

I took my little jar home in hopes of a miracle. I measured out the specified amount and slathering it on my very dry hair. I put a shower cap on and went to bed (taking extra precaution by putting a towel on my pillow case)

The next morning I showered, and washed my hair (using my normal shampoo and conditioner) Now the test, would my hair look any better when I tried to straighten it?

45 mins later SUCCESS. My hair looked shiner and was visibly smoother. My fly always diminished and there was a healthier look to it as well.

I recommend this product to other process-aholics. I would suggest buying the smallest jar, and giving it a try. At the very least it restores shine, and at the most it disguises some of the damage that comes with passionately owning styling tools

Protect Your Head Too!

It’s summer time! Time for BBQs, sailing, going to the beach, vacations, etc.
Many of us remember to protect our skin from the sun by using lotions with SPF and many of us forget to protect our scalp.
I don’t know about you, but I hate when my scalp gets burnt from the sun. It hurts. A lot.

Recently, I bought an O’Neill hat (I got mine at Dicks Sporting Goods store).
Brought it on vacation with me and it was a wise decision. Not only did my scalp not get burnt, it also helped my face from burning too.
Oh, and it’s super cute on. I got tons of compliments.

Essie does it again

Essie always comes out with great nail polish colors in the summer.
This summer they did it again. If you haven’t seen them already – you have to check it out!
I particularly love the Resort Collection!
http://www.essie.com/seasonal/

I’m going to try every color this summer. Every pedicure to be had will be a different polish from the collection.
LOVE the Turquoise and Caicos! Looks great with a tan!

My favorite shampoo and conditioner (for now anyway)

Yeah, so I like to experiment and try new shampoo and conditioner.
The latest is S Factor Smoothing formula!
I’ve used the Sulfate Free kind back when I had the Brazilian Keratin Treatment done on my hair and loved that so I’m not surprised I love the other kinds too.
The shampoo and condition smells like grapes – hmmm so lovely
It leaves your hair so smooth and shiny but not greasy and oily looking.

Keeping a Tan

I don’t know about you, but sometimes it’s hard for me to keep my tan.. It stays for a bit but then my skin peels and the tan fades.
If you’re like me and want your tan to last longer, check out Australian Gold’s Tan Extender lotion.
It smells AMAZING and feels great on the skin.

Michael Kors Watches

Michael Kors is one of America’s favorite designers. Not only is he good at designing clothing but we also love his accessories. My favorite accessory of his at the moment is his watches! They’re really beautiful, simple and classic.
The ceramic MK watches are exquisite, show-stopping watches that will make your friends (and total strangers) stop and ask, where did you get that?
The white ceramic is especially great for the summer and looks good on all skin types.

Shaper – My Top Hairspray pick

OK so I’ve never been the biggest fan of using hairspray..
I’ve had bad experiences from being a child of the 80s and being gagged by my older siblings Aqua Net. If you grew up in the 80s you know what I’m talking about! The bigger the hair – the better!
I guess you could say that Aqua Net caused me not to want to use hairspray much growing up.
Now I’m older and more knowledgeable. I still don’t use hairspray all the time BUT I do LOVE Sebastian’s Shaper Hairspray! It’s the best – doesn’t make your hair feel so sticky but it gets the job done! The smell isn’t harsh either.
Since I have naturally wavy hair, I like to spray some shaper on my hair when it’s wet and when it dries, it’s not frizzy.

BP Oil Spill/Kevin Costner a hero

I just read that Kevin Costner patented a device YEARS ago that separates oil from water w/ a 99.9% success rate! No one wanted to help him fund it back then but Costner was moved to do something after the oil spill in the 80’s.
BP just bought 32 oil spill machines from him. It will recycle 6 million gallons of water a day!
I hope this solves the problem!! So a big thank you to K Costner for manning up and doing something!

Back to the spill for a sec.. Who thinks there was a conspiracy behind this whole thing?? Thoughts?

Lancome Ôscillation Mascara

Like most women, I love mascara. Who doesn’t want big, beautiful, long lashes?!
I’ve tried quite a few and I think I have found my favorite of all time.
Lancome’s Ôscillation Mascara is AMAZING.
I’ve never seen my eyelashes look this good – long and full.
The wand has a battery in it so when you hold down the button, the wand vibrates and causes the the mascara to cover every lash perfectly! Holding the button isn’t awkward either. It’s placed where you’re fingers normally would go when applying mascara.
